Also, Josh Ritter wrote an exclusive song for Amazon's Acoustic Christmas Playlist called "Wintertime (the Snow Is Coming Down)." "While working on my recent record, Gathering, I was in a phase of writing whatever came to mind,” said Ritter. "I tried not to filter anything. One morning, I woke up with a holiday song in my head. I worked on it a little while and ended up recording it on one of the hottest days of the year.”
The Bluegrass Situation premiered Tommy Emmanuel and David Grisman's collaboration on a tune called "Cinderella's Fella." Watch the incredibly talented duo at work here.
Billboard premiered Amber Rubarth and Joe Purdy's song "Townes" from their upcoming movie, American Folk. Townes is one of the two songs that Rubarth wrote for the movie. "The song's about how you know people along the way in your journey of life, the connections that you make that bond you together," Rubarth told Billboard.
