The Americana Music Association’s 2014 Honors & Awards

Congratulations to all of the nominees of The Americana Music Association’s 2014 Honors & Awards!

Thirty Tigers’ artists garnered a total of nine nominations across five of the six award categories.

Jason Isbell lead the overall nominations with three nods in the categories of Song of the Year for “Cover Me Up”, Southeastern for Album of the Year, and Artist of the Year.  His album Southeastern (Southeastern Records) was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2013 and has sold over 100,000 units to date.

Patty Griffin’s song “Ohio” from her New West Records release American Kid was nominated for Song of the Year. Patty Griffin joined the Thirty Tigers management roster in January of this year.

Thirty Tigers artists also dominated the Emerging Artist category with nominations for distribution clients Parker Millsap (Okrahoma Records), Sturgill Simpson (High Top Mountain Records) and management/distribution client St. Paul & The Broken Bones (Single Lock Records).  Also nominated today, Hard Working Americans (Melvin Records) for Duo/Group of the Year along with Thirty Tigers legacy client The Avett Brothers.
